We live in a time of historic challenges and it’s clear the road to recovery will be long. We have great deal of work ahead, not only to emerge better and more resilient from the impacts of COVID-19, but to make sure that our recovery is equitable, inclusive, and sustainable.
In my 22 years as a public servant and distinguished, 34-year career as a lawyer and nonprofit leader, I have always fought for those who are most vulnerable—like those among us who need protection and shelter. I have championed the preservation of our natural environment, wildlife, and precious resources like the Santa Monica Bay and Santa Monica Mountains. And, I’ve always fought for communities where everyone can thrive.
Now, more than ever, I am committed to continuing the work of the last two decades. Together, we can make our communities better places for all—an L.A. that is affordable, prosperous, and welcoming to everyone.
For more than two decades, Richard Bloom has been a force for progress. Now, more than ever, he’s redoubling his commitment to an equitable, inclusive, and sustainable community.
